“What man has created, nature has perfected.” Inspired by her connection to nature and fascination with ancient history, Coomi presents her latest addition to the Antiquity collection, Ancient Roman Glass.
Each slice of the world’s first handblown glass, dating back to the 1st century AD, was excavated from the mountains of central Asia, left a millennium ago along the original Silk Road. Each piece is wrapped in 20 karat yellow gold and infused with diamonds.
The ancient Roman glass has been textured, tempered, and colored by eons of wind and weather. Only glass found in the mineral rich mountains of this region can create the distinctive thin layers of iridescent silica, known as “patina,” giving the once buried glass their beautiful and unique hue.
Vibrant shades of aqua, blue, green, purple, amber, white, yellow, and red glisten atop each piece. No piece of antique Roman glass is the same; each is one-of-a-kind with its own unique design created by nature.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”
